I am an average girl who grew up in a small and conventional town in Louisiana. To be raised by a conservative family who values traditions, life seemed to be fairly simple and to dream was a reality out of reach and not being able to work towards your dream became just a daily routine. At a young age, I witness my parents struggle so hard in life and yet earn so little, which has prompt me to set goals far beyond anyones imaginations in that little town. As hard as it was for me to sacrifice my haven, which I have called a home for many years, I have yet to learn about the hardships of life. I had to leave my hometown in an attempt to search for bigger and better opportunities. I found myself greatly involved in doing promotional works and absolutely enjoy it! With such an abundance of work, my childhood life was non-existent. The pressure of working makes me feel as if I never experienced my teenage life, and at times, I feel as if life has unfairly burdened me with responsibilities beyond my age. Nevertheless, I feel fortunate to be given the opportunities to do what I do!
Growing up was never an easy task for me. As strange as it may sound, I did not have that comfort of having any girlfriends around. I felt like a recluse who had been excluded from many events that most teenagers go through in life. At one point, it ruined my self-esteem and my self-confidence faltered tremendously. I took upon a task to fulfill my need of self-recognition and autonomy. I promise myself to take criticisms as motivational factors to achieving my aspirations. I was careful of selecting who my true friends are, and many times, I found myself being alone and handling ordeals on my own! It was hard for me to trust any girls that I ended up establishing closer friendships with guys than girls. This has helped me understand this male-dominated world. It has enabled me to interact and negotiate from a male perspective. So watch out guys, I know every step and move you make! =)
I have now instituted my promotional business in New Orleans for over nine years. I am constantly working on organizing and producing special events. My company, which is now known as D & D Media, LLC, has become a national phenomenon from producing events nationwide to establishing the infamous Psychotrance DJ Battle Competition tour. I am now situated in Houston, TX & Brooklyn, NY which has become my winter and summer homes! I just recently attained my commercial real estate license. I am now getting a step closer to making my dream a reality. Prestigious Models, as well as my media company, was originated in, New Orleans. I began my agency in 2002. It started out as a small car show, and I gathered many of my girlfriends to be the models for that show. Little had I known that it was a start of a wonderful experience for both me and my friends. I decided to take it up to a higher level by producing my first Exotic Imports Calendar! I was greatly astonished by its success! I feel extremely fortunate that it took off the way that it did, and I never expected for it to go this far! I am so grateful for the continuous love and support of my family, friends, and my fans. Without you guys, I would have not made it to where I am at today. You have given me a chance to live out my dream!!! In return, I hope to reach out and inspire others to not be afraid to dream and go for it, because dreams do come true! I know, because I am living mine! Always believe in yourself. With a little faith in yourself, you can accomplish your biggest dreams! Dont let anyone dictate your self-confidence nor let anyone dictate what you are capable of! I have learned through experiences that if you ever come up with an idea, as silly as it may seem, dont be afraid to pursue it. You never know what difference you can make or the impact you can leave on other people until you try! Dont be afraid to fail, because God would not give you anything you cannot handle!

RM: Hi Kim, can you describe yourself in 5 words so we can get an idea of who you are?
KL: Loyal, Honest, Hard-working, Trust worthy and Responsible
What should we know about you?
I enjoy going to the Karaoke bar singing with my friends. I love to watch CNN, Discovery, HGTV and NGC channel. I am a very traditional and family oriented girl.
RM: So how did you get started in this industry?
KL: It all started when I published my first Exotic Imports Calendar for PrestigiousModels.com. Since then, everything just took off.
RM: If you weren't doing this what you're doing, what do you think you'd be doing?
KL: I would definitely be doing Real Estate full time. I’ve always wanted to be a real estate investor since I was little. Business always seems to intrigue me and I guess I like the challenge. Knowledge is so powerful to me!! Why not work hard now and play harder later right? =)
RM: What does Kim do on an ordinary day?
KL: I run errands all day!! If I don’t have anything to do, than I put shopping as one of my errands to do for the day...haha I’m trying to save but somehow I always seem to find a reason to buy something. Not necessary clothes or stuff for me, but I just like to spend money and buy something! Isn’t that such a pathetic hobby? =( I love going to the dollar store!! I can still support my bad habit and buy anything I want and still be on a budget! hahah
RM: What's your passion in life?
KL: My passion in life is to be successful at everything I do! I enjoy making others happy and lavish my love ones with possessions they really deserve. I would also hope to fall passionately in love and start a family one day.
RM: What are your career goals?
KL: My goal is to have a PM office in NYC and to be a well known Model Management Company in North America. I would also like to start my own production company where everything I do is in house. Write my own shows, shoot the shows and manage Talents. I want PM to be a one stop shop!
RM: What can we expect from you for this upcoming season?
KL: Prestigious Models is coming out with our own DVD!! This DVD talks about life of modeling, the import industry, backgrounds of PM and many more!!
RM: Do you drive?
KL: Drive what and who? Hahah j/j I drive a Mercedes CLK.
RM: What are your top 3 dream vehicles?
KL: Ferrari Ferrari Ferrari!!!!
RM: What kind of guy catches your eye?
KL: I’m into guys that are well respected street smarts, honorable, charming and family oriented. Loyal and Honesty is something I really dig in a guy! I hate it when someone lies to me. I think that’s really disrespectful and a very dishonorable thing to do!
RM: Which attributes of a guy turn you away?
KL: Guys that flashes his money and talks about himself a lot. Mystery is always a challenge!
RM: Can you list your top 3 desserts for us?
KL: Fried Ice Cream, Mango w/ coconut and sweet rice, and fruits! I use to have a sweet tooth. So I try not to eat them so much, because I can easily gain weight if I don’t watch what I eat.
RM: Do you have any favorite restaurants?
KL: I love eating all Vietnamese and Thai Food!
RM: How do you like your salad?
KL: with balsamic and vinegar dressing!
RM: If you were alone in a restaurant with a guy you liked, what would you like to talk to him about?
KL: I don’t know. I guess all kinds of things. I would like him to express how he feels about me..=) Sit me down and tell me that he loves me... =)
RM: What kinds of movies are you into?
KL: Action and girly girly movies.
RM: What do you think will be the summer blockbuster?
KL: The notebook! I love that movie! I actually cried my eyes out in that movie!
RM: Do you have a soap opera which you have to watch sometime during the week?
KL: Yes, Days of our Lives and Passion.
RM: What type of music do you listen to?
KL: I enjoy listening to Vietnamese music. I also like slow rock as well.
RM: So what's your favorite song?
KL: From this moment by Shania Twain. It’s sooo deep! That’s definitely going to be my wedding song.
RM: What's your favorite alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink?
KL: I’m not such a big alcohol drinker and I drink nothing but water. I sometime drink wine. O yea, I have to have my Triple Espresso over extra ice from Starbucks in the morning...=)
RM: Are you a "city" girl or an "outdoorsy" type of girl?
KL: Definitely a city girl!!!!
RM: If you were stuck on an island which 2 material items what would you pick and why?
KL: My vibrator! Ahhah j/j I would pick my makeup pouch and photo album. Isn’t it always important to keep up with yourself? =) My photo album is to remind me that my love ones are still waiting for me at home and not to give up hope.
RM: How was your last trip to Toronto?
KL: It was great! Everyone in Canada is really polite and extremely sweet!!! I still keep in touch with my friend Jack where we only met for a split second. He always tries to fit me into his busy fashion designer schedule and remind me not to ever loose touch. I’m definitely looking forward to return someday!
