ADVICE TO ALL MODELS FROM ONE AND ONLY XIO:

"I want to get into modeling, where should I start?"

Find a local photographer in your area that can do trade for print or trade for cd (TFP/TFCD). This means you will get free shots in exchange for your time and adding to their portfolio as well as yours. If you need money asap, well, i'm sorry to say, it won't be for a while. Try finding a local promotional modeling company. They don't pay as well for sure (only about $25 an hour) and you won't get paid until the end of the month, but it's easy work and exposure.

Start building your portfolio...Make sure you create at least a small resume and have plenty of headshots to pass along to modeling and promotional companies. Next creat an account at onemodelplace.com. That is a huge database to find photographers, auditions, etc. Beware that you will get loads of emails.... I know a lot of people who found photographers, awesome ones, as well as paying gigs.
